Former County Chairman Annie Gidlow
In 1922 a W.I. was formed by the Countess Ferrers, sife of the 11th Earl. The first meeting is believed to be held at Staunton Harold Hall. Each meeting to be held the first Thursday of the month. Later the meetings were held in the Recreation Room. In those days Staunton Harold W.I. belonged to the Leicestershire Feederation. In 1925 there were 22 members.
1962 - new group was formed. Mercia had become too big. We transferred to the new Group - The Harpur Crewe Group

In 1972 - Golden Jubilee Year, a Pedestal was given to Staunton Harold Church. A party was held at Breedon. The three past Presidents attended with Lady Dyer, past National Chair.
1982 - Diamond Jubliee. Dinner Dance was held at Public Hall, Melbourne. Seat presented to the parish of Staunton Harrold. County Chairman attended. Small crystal pin tray was given to each member.
1992 - 70th Anniversary Party at Donington Manor. Oak Tree planted at Staunton Harold.
2002 - 80th Dinner held at Donington Manor Hotel. The speaker was Dotty Wicks who was very funny.
2012 - 90th Birthday Party
